The wildflower areas adjacent to the A48 and within the Playing Fields were re-seeded at the end of March 2025, to ensure that the flower beds remain healthy and continue to attract a wide variety of pollinators, as well as being a feast for the eyes of residents and visitors.
The wildflowers are doing extremely well, including the wildflower impregnated turf from Keep Wales Tidy. Today, the sun was shining, and the bees and pollinators Pollinators in Playing Fields 2025 were buzzing all over the flower beds – summer is here!
The native hedge planted by volunteers earlier in the year is doing fine, despite the dry weather. Here are a couple of photos of the wildflower sites, planting the hedge and laying the wildflower turf.
